Ballet Project 2014: Part 2 – Pond Eddy on the Delaware
This is part 2 of the 2014 edition of the Ballet Project. This is a series I shot last summer and fall. These photos comprise ballet poses at beautiful unexpected locations around the Hudson Valley and Catskills region of New York State. Check back weekly for new posts on the Ballet Project.
Our next stop last summer was in Pond Eddy. We found a dirt road that led back through the woods to an overlook on the Delaware River. It was late in the day so the sunlight started to warm up. Luckily we had nice shade and some large pine trees to use to frame the dancers. We were all alone for this shoot. It was a real serene experience listening to the quiet with only the birds singing in the summer afternoon.
