Ballet Project 2014: Part 1 – Plum Point
This is part 1 of the 2014 edition of the Ballet Project. This is a series I shot last summer and fall. These photos comprise ballet poses at beautiful unexpected locations around the Hudson Valley and Catskills region of New York State. Check back weekly for new posts on the Ballet Project.
Plum Point is a park along the west shore of the Hudson River in New Windsor. We arrived shortly before sunset to capture the dramatic clouds and tide as it started rolling in. As the sun started setting I was able to change settings and create a much cooler/blue feel to the images that contrast dramatically with the early shots. Megan, Emma and Kristin were all involved in this shoot. We had many onlookers wondering what it was we were doing. The odd looks on their faces were priceless.
