Ballet Project 2014: Part 11 – Rio Lake
This is part 11 of the 2014 edition of the Ballet Project. This is a series I shot last summer and fall. These photos comprise ballet poses at beautiful unexpected locations around the Hudson Valley and Catskills region of New York State. Check back weekly for new posts on the Ballet Project.
During the early fall last year we decided to explore along the Delaware Valley. Eventually we came upon Rio Lake on the border of Sullivan and Orange counties. When we arrived we spotted a great rocky shore near the road. We needed to work quickly as the sun was setting fast. It had just fallen below the horizon when we arrived. As the light got richer and more orange we shot and posed different angles as fast as possible.
Once the color had fallen off we called it an evening and packed up.
